Piano School

Christopher has been running a private teaching practice in North West London since 1996. He is a member of the Independent Society of Musicians, a professional body which aims at regulating and maintaining high standards in private music tuition.  He has been CRB/DSB checked. Classes of one-to-one individual tuition in piano, organ and music theory are held in a well equipped and pleasant private studio, close to major bus and tube links. Pupils have the benefit of learning on a superb new C. Bechstein R6 piano.

Pupils of all ages and abilities are accepted, and in most cases are prepared for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music examinations (Grades 1-8). The emphasis is on providing a solid foundation in the rudiments of music, and in the development of a piano technique, upon which all future progress depends. This approach has resulted in a very high pass rate in examinations.  

Tuition is provided on a termly basis. Fees are payable for 5 lessons in advance.

Recommended weekly lessons and fees per lesson are as follows -

• Consultation lesson: Free
  
• 30 minutes for beginners and Grades 1-3:  £22
• 45 minutes for those studying for Grades 4-8 and for those also preparing conjointly for theory examinations: £33
  
• 60 minutes may be provided to advanced pupils on request and at Christopher's discretion: £44

  Lessons not attended, or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, may incur the fee chargeable.
